Dr. Daniela Petrov is a registered Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). She has endorsement in the speciality area of Clinical Neuropsychology and is a board approved supervisor.
With over 15 years experience, Daniela has worked in all clinical areas throughout the lifespan; from the very young to the older adult. She has worked in a number of public and private hospitals across acute, rehabilitation and community settings in Melbourne and regional Victoria. She has worked in private practice since 2011 and founded Brain Care Health in 2023.
Throughout her career, Daniela's passion has been working with individuals, their families and the support networks of people who have sustained an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI). These include mild injuries (e.g., concussion) to the very severe of brain injuries; neurological disorders and stroke survivors. Daniela has extensive experience in working holistically with her clients and within their social system; supporting carers and families, managing behaviours of concern, delivering rehabilitation services and providing specialised psychological counselling.
Over the years, her passion and interest has expanded into the area of Wellness. Daniela has supported many clients in achieving health and wellbeing goals and improving their perceived quality of life and overall life satisfaction. She is experienced in supporting clients in understanding their fullest potentials in their physical, psychological, social, spiritual and economical self, and in guiding them in their expectations within the family, community, workplace and other settings.
Sessions are tailored to provide clients with a high level of care, and to give the time and space needed for discovery, self awareness, self-acceptance and belief for positive change. Practical and lifestyle strategies are explored collaboratively to ensure they are meaningful to each individual and their life.
